Sure enough, the camera was in a VERY obvious place. Want to know where it was? (You'll die, I swear.

It was in its cute little camera cozy, tucked in the folds of my unfinished Central Park Hoodie.

I felt like such an idiot. But in brighter news, I finished that long time UFO, and my sister in now in possession of her very own Central Park Hoodie. Because of course the sleeves were too tight for me. And that was the moment I regretted using acrylic, lol. I do now have 12 balls of a very pretty blue wool I got at WEBS for my own though. When I recover I'll try again. :)

Lots and lots of FO's... no pictures. I swear, I'll do that soon, because nobody wants to look at a boring blog with no pictures. I have pictures on the camera of all my loot from WEBS (oh man, I went crazy... and actually I resisted buying quite a few things....) but I don't have time to post all that right now.

I do have pictures of one FO....

Pattern: a version of sorts of the Buttony Sweater.
Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece (double stranded) in Turquoise and Brown.
Mods: Added stripes, made it short-sleeved.
Details: I really wanted to make this sweater, and out of a cotton blend, so I could wear it this summer. Neither color I wanted in the Cotton Fleece had more than 3 skeins , so I decided on stripes. 600 yards would be enough, right?

Not quite. I wasn't planning on looooong sleeves, but they ended up being shorter than planned. After I split for the body I realized there was less yarn than I thought, so I finished off the sleeves first, then literally knit until I ran out of yarn (which explains the shorter brown stripe at the bottom).

I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, however, and I'm in love with my buttons. I don't know if you can really see them even in the close ups, but they're all shiny and pretty.

*screams* I still can't find my camera!! Grr... and I actually have pretty stuffs to show!!!

I'm almost done my Wicked (woot!). I'd still be knitting but I've been at it all day and my hands were starting to shake. Sheesh, at 22 I'm becoming such an old woman, lol. I'm actually going to the doctor next week to see if I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have a cousin only a couple years older than me who has it, so there's a distinct possibility.

I'm actually lucky, my pain doesn't affect my knitting. Actually, I hurt more when I stop knitting. If I don't knit for a few days, I'm more sore than when I knit for 7-8 hours in a row. Weird, huh?

I'll go since I don't have any photographs. I swear, that camera must have just gotten up and walked off...

*whispers* Watch, when I DO find the stupid thing, it will be in a really obvious place. After all, I am a natural blonde.

Spindle Socks

Pattern: Spindle Socks
Yarn: DB Baby Cashmerino
Needles: #2 US
Adjustments: I messed up on the cable twists my first round, so I decided to just make one sock twist the first way, and the second sock twist the second way. I think I might like it better anyway.

Well, one sock is done anyway. I'm so proud to have finally completed a sock that I'm proud of and actually plan on wearing. By this point, when I've finally stopped knitting long enough to update the blog, I'm halfway through sock #2.

And look at that pretty kitchenered toe! I have to say, the instructions for grafting in my big Vogue Knitting reference, completely messed up my last sock. I couldn't figure it out, and I knew it was too hard, since I'd seen it done on Knitty Gritty. I finally found decent instructions in my Scarf Style book. Nothing like a scarf book for good sock finishing techniques, huh?

And, while I do have 3 balls of the Cashmerino, I wasn't worried about running out despite my size 10 feet, but it still amused me to see what was left of my first ball after my first sock:

The sock looks really bizzare not on my foot. It's longer in the foot than in the ankle. Makes me feel like I have giant feet. Well, makes me feel like they're more giant than they actually are, because my feet are kind of huge. Can't wait to get started on my new jaywalkers, using those very pretty "bigger jaywalker" instructions. Glad I'm not the only one who couldn't get the sock over my heel.
